FAQ
Can't find your answer here? Message either of us.
When do I need to RSVP?
Please RSVP to each event by November 1, 2026. Every event is planned for the number of people who sign up (venues, boats, food and transport are all booked to that headcount), so we may not be able to add you after that date. Use the RSVP page and answer for each event separately; you’ll see the cost of each one and your running total as you go. You can change your answers any time before the deadline.
Which events am I invited to?
Everyone is invited to the wedding on June 10. If you’re joining us for the whole week, you’ll see every event once you find your invitation on the RSVP page.
Do I have to come to every event?
Come to as many as you can, but pace yourself. Daytime activities are optional. RSVP to each one separately so we can book the right numbers.
What should I wear?
Every night has its own theme and dress code, with a Pinterest board for ideas. Check each event on The week. The wedding is summer formal: long or cocktail dresses and light suits.
What’s the weather like in June?
It’s winter in Rio, which means mild, mostly dry days around 19–26 °C (66–79 °F), usually warm enough for the beach. The ocean is cool. Bring a light layer for the evenings.
Can I bring a plus-one?
Your invitation lists everyone in your party. If a name is missing or you have questions, message us before you book.
Are kids welcome?
Yes. On nights marked “Nanny night,” we’ll have childcare so parents can enjoy the party.
How do I get between events?
Most events are in Ipanema, Leblon and Copacabana, a short Uber ride apart. For anything farther away, like the boat day, we’ll arrange transport and share the meeting point.
Is Rio safe?
Rio is a big city, so use big-city sense. Keep your phone out of sight on the street and at the beach, use Uber at night, leave valuables and passports at the hotel, and bring only what you need to the beach. Stick to the neighborhoods we recommend and you’ll be fine.
Do I need to speak Portuguese?
No. Hotels and restaurants in the south zone are used to English speakers, and our Brazilian family and friends will be around all week. Learning “obrigado” (thank you) is a nice touch.
Will there be a wedding hashtag?
Yes, and we’d love to see your photos. We’ll share it here closer to the date.
What about gifts?
Your trip to Rio is the gift. If you’d like to give something anyway, see the Registry.
