Where to stay
Stay in Ipanema, Leblon or Copacabana. That's where the beach is, where most of the week happens, and where you can walk almost everywhere.
Base camp
Base camp is our hangout for the week: the place to be whenever we’re not at an event. Come by for a coffee in the morning, a swim or a nap in the afternoon, or a caipirinha before the party. There’s no schedule and no RSVP, and everyone is welcome, anytime.

Our room block
We’re arranging group rates at a hotel near the events. The hotel name, booking link and deadline will be posted here. If you’d rather book something now, any of the neighborhoods below works.
Neighborhoods
Ipanema. Our pick. The famous beach, the Dois Irmãos sunset, great restaurants and shops, and walkable to Leblon and Copacabana. Stay between the beach and Rua Visconde de Pirajá.
Leblon. Next door to Ipanema, a little quieter and more upscale. Lovely for families and for anyone who wants calm evenings.
Copacabana. Bigger hotels, often better value, and the classic wave-pattern promenade. Stay near the Ipanema end (Posto 5 and 6) to be closer to everything.

Tips
- Book something refundable early; June fills up.
- For apartments, look for a building with a 24-hour doorman (portaria 24h).
